Who we are (the short version):

-Serving God as a family unit is pure joy
-Outdoor adventures happen as often as we can get them
-We each have storybook names that are just perfect
(Captain Surly, Tootin Tully, Polomon, Mitus, Dado)
-Daily we take deep breaths to regroup
-We have two kids and two different mini me’s
-Every part of living this life is precious (even the hard)
-Christopher loves meat, Rachel loves veggies, we each eat both
-We argue over John Wayne or Clint Eastwood for Ultimate Cowboy

What we do (also the short version):

We are a husband and wife team. Chris has been a carpenter for over 12 years building decks, arbors, and general outdoor construction. Around 6 years in he started working in fine carpentry and we haven't looked back since. We still have the first piece we ever built together and it is special to see the refinement next to the pieces we are making now. Growing into sourcing our wood locally and learning to mill and dry our own lumber has only added to our passion for allowing the wood to shine first. We guide our lives around leading a quiet life and working with our hands. We have spent countless hours in the shop doing that side by side. The Mountain Seed was started with a desire to create with and celebrate the beauty of natural wood. While our skills have developed that desire is the same.

Childhood favorite memories that shaped us down to our core.
For both of us our favorite childhood memories would be in large our time in nature. For Chris, his family was at the river as much as they could be. Camping in tents, splashing in the water, walking through the woods, and just spending time without distractions in nature. For me, Rachel, my family worked the land. We were in our gardens at home tending our vegetables, caring for the roses, on the farm harvesting, or at the pond catching dinner. Time spent in nature that is where our childhood dwelled.
